AC died in my 98 XLT. The compressor seized.
A friend has offered a compressor, with little use, from his 94 F100.
Does anyone know, will this 94 F100 compressor work on my 98 XLT?

what are the two engine sizes?

Most Ford trucks use the FS 10 a/c compressor...

You may need to change the pulley and clutch to match the Explorer setup if the full size truck doesn't match...

But the compressor itself should bolt on and match up to the hose fittings on the back of it too...

One thing to keep in mind though is that the system needs to be flushed and any debris removed and the accumulator and possibly the condensor replaced... Remember that black death or melted teflon rings from the compressor or bits of aluminum will flow into the condensor and cannot be removed by flushing...

Ford never made a 94 F-100...
