Hey if anyone can help...99 Explorer Sport 4.0...previous issues with IAC motor, or valve?...at that time the beast didnt want to idle at all, it was intermittent, sometimes no problems sometimes it wouldnt want to start or stay running without foot on the gas, cleand the IAC, alls well since, untill the last couple days. New problem, of course it is AC season here on the coast, and the last couple days the beast seems to idle quite high and not want to kick down, i was able to mess with the fan and ac controls and get it to drop some, decided to replace the IAC, didnt do the trick. Now it seems also the AC pump is only coming on once and a while when it does, the the motor seems to idle down back to somewhat normal. Im not sure the two problems are linked, but it seems they have something to do with each other, the ac might be goin bad on its own?? The problems not going away this time, any help would be super!

Is the a/c still blowing cold air?
It probably isn't the a/c going bad. The compressor should cycle every once in a while to keep the air coming in the cab cold.
When you replaced the IAC did you unplug the neg battery terminal for a while to reset the computer, and then drive it for a while so it could relearn?
If so, you may want to check the power coming to the IAC, it could be the signal to idle the engine back down is not coming through...or a bad new IAC.

I knew i forgot to mention that no, the ac is not blowing cold air at some points, when i hear the ac pump click in it will start blowing cold air, but it is not always cycling like that, when it isnt working is when i have the idle issues. sometimes on starting, the pump will automatically kick in and blow cold air, but not every time, it seems to be intermittent. As far as the battery cable, i will be trying that asap. Anything further? Thanks for any help.
