Solved 99 Explorer 4.0 SOHC stripped lower intake bolt hole

Hello i need to know what size bolt to retap to as one of my lower intake manifold bolt holes are stripped in the head can someone let me know what size and bolt i need? and how do i tap the hole

Or could I buy a 50mm bolt instead of the 45mm length bolt?
 






i think a tap and die set? not sure the size etc however.
 






Threads are gone?

I’m not smart on these heads, but this may be a helicoil or timesert application. IIRC, the manifolds won’t allow for drilling for a wider bolt.

Not sure how to do the heilcoil
 












That’s a helicoil kit. Just be very careful drilling, stuff rags in the ports

Airplane engines use helicoils to hold spark plugs in. They’re very strong when installed properly

Will do I got to do Chains soon anyway just trying to make it run better so I can work and make it quit stalling out from the vacuum leak
 


















Update: Heil coil was successful
