How many door ajar switches are on the rear gate and how do you access them?

3one for the window glass and 2 for the gate
Remove the inside trim panel

After removing the lift-gate trim panel, the latch switches are located with each lift-gate latch pretty much just like the side doors. There is a switch for the rear glass too. It's easily accessible. I don't recall if the one for the glass would cause the "door ajar" light to come on. I don't think so.

Yeah, the switches are a simple binary ON/OFF switch. They require a bit of lubrication (as do the latches) now and then or they can stick with age. Try spraying them with something through the latches before taking things apart.

Thank you, I already tried the WD 40, I will try again.

Also I will try the silicone spray too.
