Hey all,

The cd player (stock) isn't working, and I found one out of a 2010 for dirt cheap. Will it fit, and are the connections the same? If I have to modify in any way, I'll buy a real stereo to make it worth while.

Thanks in advance.

Jaime

if i remember correctly the newer models wont fit. not only are the size of ours the Double-din the newer ford units have completely unique wiring harnesses as well. Aftermarket decks now can be installed for around 100 bucks. or scour the interwebs for a used OEM one and simply continue on. i am currently using one of the 01' mustang Mach460 6-disk cd changer head units. works well, and plugs in.... only issue is that the factory support on my old radio doesnt connect and it slides around a little bit. lol

Won't work. Just get an aftermarket one or find one in a junkyard from a 99. Lol.

Well, thought I'd try! The current one plays radio, with no display (no, I'm not schilling out $9.00 for the fix on that, either:), and I'm fine with it.

Thanks for the input!

Jaime
