a/c always on?

Hi,
I have a 1997 ford explorer V8 AWD.

My a/c is always on whether I select A/C or not. any ideas?

When i adjust the tempurature the heater works also, but once in a while I would like the regular fan to blow instead of a/c when cold

i kinda have the same problem....my air never turns off...it has to do with something in the vacuums

I would check the mechanical stuff behind the dash first. Just something to think about.

By the way, I can turn the fan on/off, but anytime i turn the fan on, its a/c =)

mine has the same problem i just unplug the cycling switch(low pressure switch)

The A/C will run in all settings except for Panel (vent) for all model years and Floor for '98+ models
