a/c and heater problems.

Well as far as either, both work fine. A/c blows cold and heater blows hot.
BUT if my mind serves me right theres is a trap door thing if you call it that behind the glove box that shuts for heat and opens for cool or vise versa either way. Well mine evidentally is out and I have no heater in the cold weather . Anyone know what I'm talking about or have encountered this before?

Yep, just search for "blend door". many, many write-ups on this, even a sticky or two...

well went out to check it. Last time the gf told me her ac wasnt blowing cold anymore so i told her i would look at it once i get home from work. She calls and told me her father fixed it. so i didnt think nothing of it.

I just came back in from looking at it and saw the blender door motor in the glove box... Pulled the glove box down and its rigged up in a way that it looks like the door may need replacing as well. he used a piece of L bar aluminum with a bolt on top of it... the bar is just long enough to keep the door open.... SOB!
