A/C blend door questions.

A few questions about the blend door: Is the door inside the evaporator or outside? How easy is it to be replaced or fixed? Does it run off a motor or vacumm lines? Thanx in Advance guys

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread to the A/C, and heater section. The blend door diverts either cold or hot air between the evaporator, and the heater core.

The Door is in the Plenum. It divides the box into to seperate inlet air paths. Coming from either Cold (A/C) air side of the box, or from the Hot Air (Heater) side.

Depending on how you go about doing it, it can be a 4 hour job, or a 5 min. job. Search for all the methods that people have done to 'repair' this problem.

It is controlled by an electronic 'motor'. Ford calls it a 'Servo'. No Vacuum is used in the control of the Blend Door.
