Hello.
I've got a 98 explorer V8 and no A/C since I bought it a few months ago. I picked up a can for recharge but noted that the compressor's not spinning when the A/C switch is engaged. I can turn the clutch by hand and it feels normal, don't see anything wrong with any fuses. I see some electrical switches mounted on the refrigerant lines. Is there some kind of low pressure cut off that when it's too low on refrigerant the compressor won't pump? Do I have to jumper the switches? There's no point in cracking the can open if the compressor's not spinning to pump it in I'm assuming.....
Any advise would be greatly appreciated!
