I have an 03 Explorer Limited. The A/C stopped working yesterday all of a sudden. The compressor had not been making any noises and the air was really cold. I added a can of 134a to the system and that didn't help, when I put a second can on it wouldn't take any more refrigerant.

I jumped the wires on the low pressure sensor and the idle goes up a little bit but the clutch never tries to engage.

I've also checked the relay and fuse in the engine bay and fuse #10 in the passenger compartment. Still no luck.

I would think the clutch would have been making noise if it was going to go bad, but then again I'm no expert on HVAC.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
Matt

BTW, not that it matters, but this thing only has 60,000 miles on it!!!

Leak?

Did you check for a leak? Sometimes you have to evacuate the entire system and recharge, also, the clutch sometimes does not engage unless it is full for awhile. This happened to mine. I would evacuate teh entire system, and do a dye test on it.
