I bought a A/C recharge kit today with a pressure guage, my only concerns are where do i connect the recharger because there is a plug next to the battery and one one the left side of the engine. and how much do i put in? what is the high side and what is the low side?

Some A/C lines are colorized. The red top is the highside. Blue is the low side. Somewhere on the vehicle (usually under the hood) there will be a specification of how much 134A you need for your a/c system. It will probably be somewhere around 1.2-1.5 pounds. Good luck.

Follow your AC lines the one that goes to a round barrel looking thing that has two AC lines going to the top is the low side it may have a low side valve there also. That round thing may be on the pass. side. it is the accumulator. It stops the refrigerant oil from being sucked back into the compressor. Look on the other side if you find another valve that is the high side. If you are sure you need refrigerant then you must have a leak and this should be addressed.

I just recharged my '94, and the low side port was the one next to the battery, closer to the AC unit, not the one near the compressor on the side of the engine. Both dust caps are black, but they were different sizes. The connector that came on my recharge kit did not even fit on the other one. Make sure you press down hard on the connector while recharging, otherwise it may not enter the system. The kit I bought did not show an accurate pressure reading if I didn't press down.

Job Done

Ya i got the job done, the only valve it would fit on was the one one the accumilator. The A/C is cold finally.
