I have a '96 explorer which I bought new. Car has 163k on it. The A/C while not ice cold as it used to be is adequate but I seem to keep the fan on a higher setting now. I was thinking of getting a recharge kit with a low pressure guage to add some freon. Has anyone had success using one.
Or should I take this to a shop. A/C has never been serviced in this vehicle. What should A shop charge for this.
