I have a 1998 Explorer, I have twelve volts going to my A/C relay in two places with, and with out the air on (Top, and bottom left). I am assuming that then you turn the air on that the other terminal of the A/C relay gets grounded?? I can manually make the relay close and make the compressor kick on by grounding the other side of the relay. How is the switch wired to complete the ground?

And my relay has three male blades across the bottom but my fuse block only has two female plugs in it, Is that suppose too only have two plugs in the bolck??

Any help is appreciated!!

Thanks!!

It is wired trough the pressure sensor on accumulator (A/C pressure cutoff).
Purpose: If you lost the refrigerant, it won't let the compressor start, because then it will lack the lubrication and will be damaged.

And yes, one blade from relay is not connected to anything.

It goes also trough PCM (stops the A/C at WOT), but that's unlikely to be bad.
Most often is the pressure.
