swapping in a narrowed Dana44 into my brother's 98 V8 explorer next month, just had a few questions as I can't seem to find any specific answers...
#1...What is the best choice for a steering box? (not running a body lift) would running a box with a rear-ward facing pitman arm be easiest for the steering shaft angles??
#2...We are also going to swap in a BW4406 at the same time. I've read that you can use an expedition 5.4L rear driveshaft. Since we will be doing a rear SOA with warrior shackles and possibly a 1 or 2inch block, I would assume we will need a longer driveshaft than the expy 5.4L. Anyone have the 4406 swap with a rear SOA? is the expy 4.6L rear driveshaft longer and if so does it fit? Or does anyone have the length of both expy shafts so we can just measure when we are done??
