Hey guys my explorer broke down. The transmission keeps slipping i think. I do not know why but when i accelerate it won't go into gear. Even when i start up sometimes. When i drive i accelerate and sometimes i guess it doesn't catch the gear or somthing i just revs really fast and high. So i pulled over and tried to accelerate but it would just rec fast and high and wouldn't go anywhere. When i was trying to get my explorer home for some reason the battery light went on, the car shut off, and the brake pedal felt stiff. So i pulled over agian So what might be wrong what should i do? and how much will it cost?

I'd start by checking the fuses. There sounds to be one weird problem or several problems.

Good luck.

Now i treid to check the transmission fliud level. I tried to let it ilde for 10 mins before i check... but it shut off by it self. The i tried to start it again, but it rumbled and then shut off by itself. I am sooo pissed

Does it sound like it's running like crud. It might be a spark plug or some wires or something in the fuel system.

Rumbling and shakin gone

I figured why my car was rumbling and shakin. It was because i didn';t have gas so it started up and then shuts off because i didn't have gas. But i still have that problem with the gears slippin.
