Ok, finally broke down and took a few system pictures the other day. Here's where you'll find them and a few little notes about the install (if there are any questions I'll be glad to answer them, but I didn't have time to type out every detail of what/how I did everything). Enjoy, and comments and questions are welcome.

looks good. that's a nice AV setup. Clarion multimedia is awesome:)

Impressive. Not to be rude but do you mind saying how much the head unit alone cost? And could navigation be hooked up to it?

Thanks for the comments, I've thoroughly enjoyed it. Red96, yeah man, no problem... I got a DEAL on it on ebay. It was a refurbished unit and most of this model were going for $430-$500 or so on eBay, and I was able to snatch one up for $338! I could not believe it. I originally had no plans for any video (because of $), but when I found that, I couldn't resist. Even though it's a refurb, it's been perfect. I've had GREAT luck with refurbs. In fact I got the amps for $99 a piece because they were reburbished too! I heard lots of good things about USAcoustics for the money you pay, and sure enough, it's been true (keep in mind I'm running one hard at two ohms, and the other bridged). Oh, and yes, you could hook up navigation (or any other visual source) as long as it had a composite (RCA) video out. Hope this helps.

Well matt, very nice, glad you found that deal. Sure is a good one. You got everything there and such a low cost. Amazing. Only thing I would add is a DVD player :-)

Yep

Yeah, I would've have picked a DVD player, but I really wanted UHF/VHF TV capabilities and for the price of just a TV tuner I found that VCR with one built in. I'm sure I'll add DVD at a later date. They should make DVD players w/ tuners built in. :-) Don't get me wrong though, having a VCR is great (until DVD-R's come down), because if I miss a show I wanted to watch, then I'll just tape it and just throw it in the car and watch it on a semi-short trip or whatever.

not sure about 97's but why could you not put the VCR under the rear seat?
that is where my alpine vcr, and changer is.....but mine is a 95 4 door

Hey casper, that doesn't even begin to be possible in a Sport. There is NO room under there, the floor slopes up following right below the seat and there's no real space under there at all. Wish I could have, but no choice (not enough under the fronts either).

Sideswipe, wasn't aware of that, but sounds cool (except the Pyle part ;). I haven't looked at equipment since I did the install. I'll look into DVD one of these days, too much else on my list before then though (new mtn bike and computer) :)
