Hello everyone,
I finally managed to own a 1991 explore xlt original usa export, very well kept. Bought this car in september in Glasgow (Scotland) and then a long drive down to Italy, what a beautifull time whith my "Brand new second hand".But unfortunatly when I was about to spend some money on her (total check up and ordinary maintenance for a 170000 miles car) the transmission was not engaging in"over" and then gradually to all the other gears. My mech said that it has to be remanufactured and will cost about 3000/4000 Euros, but looking at some USA websites seems to me that I can save money(even with shipping cost) and have it done properly in the states where it comes from. Does anyone knows a good shop where to buy all my needs, thank you guys.
Ciao Sergio

you would probably save money buying one already rebuilt and having it shipped to you shipping yours then having it shipped back is all money.

ya, id try and find one on ebay that will ship worldwide.

I'd steer clear of ebay rebuilds as a general rule... except maybe for Roadmaster.
