Hello all, I need you help with a big problem.
I have a Ranger 1992 XLT 4x4 and yesterday I don't know what happend, wen I try to go out for lunch the transmition won't go into drive, R is working fine, I don't have any problems with R, but when I try to change from R to D, nothing happens, is like only go to neutral and nothing more, I change to 1, 2, D and nothing happend, just work the R and Neutral hehe.
What could be doing this?, I try to accelerate and I get a very small movement (when I push the accelerato to 3000 RPM, I dont whant have a bigger problem so the truck is stoped in the garage.
What could be in this case? how difficult could be fixe it?.
The fluid level is ok, I check with the scanner and I dont have any error code just 1 1 1, maybe pressure lost in the valve body? some new gaskets? a general cleanning of the valve body? I really dont know, that's why I'm looking help from experts in this problems.
I will appreciate a lot your help, in Mexico send the truck to some specialist in automatic transsmition is very expensive, I call to some places early morning and the quotes are from 600 to 1000USD.
