I was wondering what a4ld transmissions interchange with the 2wd a4ld any help would be appriacated

What cars came with the a4ld that I can use with my 93 2wd explorer

Mazda Navajo and certain Ranger pickups (roughly the same year if you're planning a swap.

I know that 91-94 explorers are interchangeable, and I'm not sure, but I think some aerostars' and rangers' A4LD transmissions work as well.

Not sure about the Aerostar, but a Ranger would be a good candidate. Good luck. I got rid of my automatic and swapped it out for a 5 speed. Best thing I ever did.

The Aerostar had the A4LD until 1995. The Explorer had it until 1994.

Would the a4ld from the 89 merkur Scorpio work?

Try to get a transmission from a 4.0L equipped vehicle. The older models had less updated hard parts so look for a later model.
