Is the install for an AAL something that can be done at home or should I take it to a shop. Are there any specialized tools needed for the install?
Also, I am assuming that the AAL's will help with preventing sag when towing my boat?
Thanks!:)

Yup in order of size, you may need new pins too. and you might need das Bier

And torque them to specs

PS also don't forget the matera :p

Although you would prolly be better off with a BierfaB

Beer?

So is this the main ingrediant?

Is this like putting sticker's on a ricer? The more beer you drink, the quicker, fast, easier the install goes?

Does it also boot HP and torque? Or only while intoxicated? :D

and numbs the pain of the bloody nuckles from not wearing your gloves.

I performed this mod a few weeks ago and was not to bad of a job at all. But like mentioned must have a ice cold beer on stand by when needed.

Summit Racing. They are the Pro Comp AAl. Total bill was aroud 35-40 shipped to my door. Let me know if I can help in any other way. It did add a nice lift to the rear of my X. Not sure how much it was because i guess I had a brain fart at the time and forget to measure the hight before.

Just found the part #. Summit Racing part # EXP-13120. Shipped to my door $35.00, hope this helps.

Just did the Pro Comp short a few days ago. Do the job yourself. You'll see that it's much more intimidating to plan than to actually do. Most problems are little things that slow you down. Have a friend help if you can. Your helper can do things like squeeze the hanger bolts together so you can align the holes or to push the spring back into alignment while you tighten the hangers up. I had a time with one side on mine only because I did it alone but if you can't get help don't let that stop you...it just takes you a little longer.
First thing you want to do is crawl under there and look at how bad your bolts are rusted and spray them all with some PB Blaster. Have a good breaker bar and a deep well socket for the hanger bolts and a hacksaw or Dremel to cut the leaf spring bolt. That bolt should be the only that is easier to cut. The kit should have new ones anyway. Easy job for a Sat afternoon and you'll be glad you did it. A couple weeks before I put in a DVD player and 5" LCD monitor and ran the DVD audio through my stereo for surround sound all for $400 bucks. The LCD fit perfect in my middle console and looks great. The hardest thing about that job was finding the wire diagram for the amp bypass but I found it on this site. Mine is a 96 and I think the only year they don't make a harness for that bypass. If you do alot of searching on this site you'll find most everything has been done already.

On my 99 I never had to spray any of the bolts and they all came apart just fine even the center spring bolt. I could have just got lucky though. lol!
