ok,below is what mods i have done to my truck.one of the main mods is my sct xcal-2 proggrammer.i been using sunoco 94 octane for a little over a year now.i know there is 87,89,91,92,93,94 octane.i dont really mind paying more for the higher octane.but im just wondering if its really worth it? so if anyone could give me some advice or comment on this,i'd appreciate it! remember in my signature is what mods i've got done. thanks.

Unless your PCM tune is optimized for a particular octane level, there is really no reason to use a higher octane.

well when i got the tunes from adam, the sct dealer he programmed them at 93 octane.

Since the tune was programmed for 93 octane you shouldn't use anything less than that. Any lower octane may cause detonation or pre-ignition.

true.thats what i was thinking.i think i'll continue using the 94 i have been.a little more pricey than 87,or any other octane, but i feel better about it :D

sunoco is still doing the many grades of gas they got in trouble years ago for the same thing multi grades one storage tank no difference between the lowest and the highest grades
