Hi Everyone, I'm new to the site and are ready to start modding my x

The first thing I want to do is TT/AAL/Shackles
But my measurements from the ground to the fender lips
all the way aroud are 32.5 inches . this sounds a little low from what I have read here.
By the way 97 x 4x4 w/ B bars & 3.73's

Any And all help will be appreciated

p.s. won't be back till monday to respond , Going fishing in Grand Isle, Louisiana :D

hey green97, welcome first off.

in response, what does the height have to do with anything? its only going to get higher, right?

by the way, just to let you know, i am in baton rouge. in case you ever want to do some mudriding together, or something.

The reason I ask is
I believe my suspension has settled and want to get max height w/o problems
So, if I am at 32.5 and do a 2 inch TT then I would be at 34.5

But if I were supposed to be at 34.0 And did a 2 inch TT . My new height would be at 36.0 without binding.

Therefore my beginning height is critical.
If it is not correct I would essentially not be using the full potential of the suspension.

Thanks

well, sounds lke if you do the TT, you'll get your two inches no matter what. go for new shocks if your still not reaching your desired height, or even new springs.

what size tires are you trying to fit underneath?

your ride height now isnt critical. and i dont think your stock suspension settled 2 inches. just go with the tt and shackles or aal and everything will be fine. welcome to the site!!!

Jake, not really trying to get a large tire right now . Maybe 32x10.5x15 So I can keep my stock rims.
I will also be getting PA BL, just wanted to get all of my info on this before I get started.
I work in Baton Rouge , never been wheeling before but looking to start. Thanks for the input and soon I'll be lifted

REDRIG, Thanks for the welcome I appreciate the replies just trying to get all of info upfront

Thanks Eveyone I don't know what I would have done w/o this site or the great members

it seems like i remember you saying you were going to do shackles and aal in the back. that should be like 4 or so inches. if you do tt in front thats like 2 in. do you want the unlevel "raked" look? i wonder if that would throw off your geometry or center of gravity too much.
just a thought.

are you having the lift work done at a shop, or doing it yourself?

Doing everything myself. I called warrior and they told me that the shackle on the 97 only gave me a 1 1/4 lift. The AAL should give me 2" so I'll only be 2" in front and 3 1/4" in rear I don't believe that 1 1/4" will be that big of a deal . Plus sometimes I pull a trailer or load down the back for trips, So that little extra will be leveled out most of the time.

sounds like a good plan to me. keep us posted on the makes of this.

go for it bruh. and look, if you want help with the project, lemme know. like i said, i'm right down the road.

later,

jake
