ABS code 53, no windows, radio, instuments

Started up my '03 Mountaineer this morning and the ABS light was flashing. Code 53. Then I noticed the radio wasn't working. I drove it for awhile. Restarted it and noticed none of the power windows were working! Now none of the instruments are working!!

Any idea what this could be or where to start?? Thanks in advance.

I've had a similar issue with my aviator. The first time, I pulled the gauge cluster and made the mistake of turning it on without it. That was a trip to the dealer to recalibrate the abs/traction control module.

And installing my aftermarket stereo I ran the battery down to 7 volts. Now I have abs/tc lights flashing and all the circuits you mention are powered on intermittently.

Can't seem to find my ABS scanner though for the specific code.

Couldn't find anything on recalibrating.

Thanks for the reply KP! I had searched around and found someone with a similar problem. Turns out they just disconnected their battery for 5 minutes. Sure enough I disconnected mine, reconnected it and everything is completely back to normal. We will see if it happens again.....

Glad to hear you got it fixed. I finally found my ABS scanner, had 5 codes. Should have copied them down, but I'd already made an appointment at the dealer, so I just ran through and deleted them all. First Key Off/Key On the dash lights lit momentarily and then went out. Second Key Off/Key On everything lit back up and stayed up.
