ABS engaging in higher speed cornering

Good morning all, I have recently discovered that a vibration/shudder is actually the ABS engaging in hard cornering. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, what can be done? The issue is that the rear ABS will pulse in rapid cornering when no discernable traction loss is evident.

The ABS light is not consistently lighted when the system engages, which is why I didn't determine the issue sooner. I recently had the shocks/springs replaced, the mechanic found an issue with the right rear, that was causing the ABS sensor to indicate a fault, he cleaned and reassembled, and the fault was cleared without replacing the sensor.

Is one of your two rear wheels a different brand/worn more than the other etc? I've had this happen before. When you're high-speed turning (lets say, getting on an onramp) - there's a high differential between wheel-speed between each tire. If one tire is a different brand/model/size OR far worn than the other, that wheel speed differential can be even higher, so much so that the ECU will think you're slipping (or essentially, peeling out) and will momentarily activate ABS. It's even worse on AWD models, but can still happen on 2WD.

Not an ABS issue, I have this issue too. As Yoster stated check your tires. I have the donut tire on it, a different size and rim than other tires. currently and didn't happen before.

That doesn’t mean it’s not an ABS issue. The ABS doesn’t know there’s a difference in OD and it’s assuming there’s slip.

You are aware a donut is only good for a single drive in an emergency, right?
