Good day everyone! New member here I normally lurk around and can find answers but this one has me stumped my wife's had a 2014 for 3 years and aside from a CV axle and a cat it's been solid. Cut to the chase. I picked up a second 2015 with 3.5 and it has the brake light , abs , service traction control advance track . When I scan for codes it comes up with several lost communications and my scanner shows the abs module is not equipped. Essentially it's not even there . I checked the three fuses under the hood and there all good and I have 12 volts constant on two and 12v hot in run on the other like the diagram I have states.i guess my next question would be were should I go from here ?'probe the abs connector directly on power and ground pins and verify power is getting right to the module ? Also the previous owner stayed they had a flat tire on the front driver tire and the lights happened shortly after, I have inspected the speed sensor and check the abs ground on the inner fender and they are intact . I have no problem running the tests but when it comes to networks and communication I get a little overwhelmed so if anyone can point me in the direction they would go I would appreciate it so much ! Thanks for any help or guidance

There's a 2014 workshop manual linked below in my sig, I'd take a look at the troubleshooting section in it.

No guarantees that nothing changed from '14 to '15 but many of the procedures should still be similar.

I cannot seem to get it to open, I downloaded it , saved to device and saved to drive , extracted it and all and it's not letting me view it. Is there anyway you can email me the zip file by chance ? I would greatly seriously appreciate it

If you were able to download it and extract it, I'm not sure what difference it would make to email it?

What happens when it's not letting you view it? You should have a folder with the files Service Manual.htm and Wiring Diagrams.htm, and a folder, "Resources" and just click the Service Manual.htm to load it in a browser. If windows (or other OS) or some 3rd party security suite is stopping it from opening because it came from an external source, you may have to tell it to allow opening it.

At 245MB it is too big to make an email attachment, so here it is from another source:

Also, and I'm not 100% certain of this, I think this was the *original* source:

I managed to get it unzipped but it doesn't seem to work properly when I open it in the web browser it just shows damaged or broken

Have you tried a different web browser? It works fine for me in Firefox and Chrome.

What exactly are you seeing that means "shows damaged or broken"? If I load Service Manual.htm in a browser it looks like this except I have a black background because the browser is in dark mode. There's nothing elaborate about this manual, is all standard HTML and JPG image files, not even any scripting that I've noticed. I don't know what more I can suggest, I just downloaded it again from this google drive link (same I provided previously) and this copy of it is working fine:

Attached below is the ABS subsection of the workshop manual, printed to a PDF. All the blue underlined text in it, are working links when viewing the workshop manual in a browser but in the PDF, they aren't links and some refer to other sections in that same PDF but others link elsewhere. If you need any other sections printed to PDF, I can do that if you tell me the section number you need. They're usually named like 419-03C (###-##*)

Thank you, I've tried chrome Firefox and edge , all give me the same result. However I haven't tried it on my computer only the phone. I will try to open it on my PC tonight I got it uploaded to Google drive maybe it's not compatible on Mobile

Yeah apparently you can't browse local HTML files on your phone. I found this then stopped researching it.

But thank you so much , just with the file you sent me alone I'll be able to put a meter on g135 and verify battery voltage and ground. That alone should be enough to direct me towards a failed abs module or wire issue

Well I checked the connector c135 at the module. And I found what appears to be a meter probe tip cover behind it 😂 someone's been in there before , also upon checking pins 1,8, and 32 they all carry battery voltage, and pin 16 for ground shows zero resistance. So I would say it's safe to assume the module is bad. Is it possible to replace just the module itself ? And does it require dealer programming or can it be done with a think diag 2 with the programmable module install? Thanks again

I'm just guessing when I state that I think if you got a module from a similar enough donor vehicle, that it will be plug and play and could be swapped by itself. I could be wrong.
