My abs seems to come on when i am almost at a stop, it happens almost everytime and i have no clue why this happens, i am not on ice when it happens or any slippery surface actually. Anyone have any ideas?

it could be your shocks. i read on tokico's website that having bad shocks causes your ABS to activate prematurely. or it could just be your transmission shifting to a lower gear.

It's not the trans downshifting, and it's not his shocks either. I would asssume that his wheel speed sensors are dirty. They are magnetic and get shavings and crud build up over time. Do a search for wheel speed sensor and you come up with how to clean them.

thanks a lot i will try that

My 97 ex 4x4 was doing that last year and luckily it was under warranty. They replaced both front sensors and all was well. You can find the resistance of the sensor as well and test them with an ohm meter to figure out which one is bad.

I had the same problem with my '93 sport. They said that the ABS sensors were just packed with crap and they replaced them and it was fine.
