First...I would like to thank everyone that's on this site. You really can learn a lot from searching through the old threads. My '94 was doing the "Coolant Boil Over" thing and after picking around this site, I deceided it may be the thermostat and even learned how to do it and what I needed for tools. It took some patience but I was able to get them bolts out and put back in and now she purrrs like a kitten with NO heat. Sweet!!

Now for my question...Is it possible to have an ABS problem without the ABS light staying on?? When I turn the truck on, the ABS light stays on for about two seconds and then goes out like it should. BUT....it seems the ABS system does not work. Last winter I could not drive it in the snow because she would lock up under normal braking in the snow. Even today, if the road is wet...she will lock up going over a metal man hole cover. Any thoughts??

Thank you for any input!!

On my last two Fords the abs would not work. I replaced all the computer parts on my aerostar and nothing. The lights did what they were supposed to just like yours. I do not like abs brakes and mine do not work and I am happy. I have been driving over 20 years without abs and prefer it that way.
Abs parts are Dealer only, but I think you can order reconditioned parts on line.
Might not be a bad idea to take it to the dealer and have things check out if it is a concern.
