So I need a new ABS module for my 01 explorer sport. The dealership quoted me $609 just for the part. I found this site http://www.automotix.net/usedautopa...s_control_modulepump-inventory.html#MCK43179Z selling them much cheaper. I don't know if that's actually the right part. If it is, should I buy? and how easy is it to replace? Thanks
Go to http://www.car-part.com and enter your vehicle info and search for "anti-lock brake computer". It will bring up a lot of modules, find "ABS, (L. Fr eng comp), 4 Dr, Sport Trac, 4x4" if yours is a 4x4, click search. Lot of them there locally for under $100.
