ABS Question

Will any codes be stored if the ABS light is not currently on? I have had an ABS light coming on randomly for the last two weeks. Then yesterday I had a false ABS activation when coming to a stop. I am sure it is one of the speed sensors but would like to get the codes read first.

It takes about 50 drive cycles's to clear codes. If its a day or two you should get a code. . .false activation does sound like a wheel sensor.
