ABS questions.

hello all i have a 2003 ford explorer awd the abs light came on and yes the pads need to be changed but not scrubbing after changing them and resetting the computer the light was still on i noticed some play in the bearing not real bad but its there my question is could this be the problem i also have checked the speed sins. and all is fine there any help would be great
