Hello folks,
my truck has some damage to the front end, since I was involved in an accident. The damage is to the passenger side fender/bumper area

The bumer and fender were literally curled underneath.

Luckily it was only cosmetic damage, but my ABS light is on, and I noticed a wired had been cut that seems to be going to the ABS.

it runs from right inside the tire and goes up into the hood area. It looks just like a simple black and I think red..could be black and white..but it seems its two wires..that had a plastic covering over it.

Does anyone know if that is ABS, and what I can do to fix it?

Thanks

I nicked the front ABS sensor wire on my 94. (It was my wife but let's not go there) hahaha
.
It was not expensive or dificult to replace. My thinking was by the time I tried to patch it and hope it weather sealed ..it was not worth it. I just replaced it

Tha bad boy works on a thing called the Halls Effect to generate a signal to the ABS puter.....who knows what resistence tolerance there are, if any. Why mess with it ?

Follow it to the back of the calipier shield and up to a connector just under the wheel well

did you take it some where to replace? My girlfriends brother is a mechanic for mercedies, and her father is really good with cars too. he is helping me with the body work so far...I think he can do it...I mean how muchy did it run you if you recall?

Im guessing thats what it is then, ABS cable?
