AC Blower Fan Issue

AC Blower

I have the same problem with my 08 explorer-it only occurs when I go uphill and resolves when the car is level again. I think we have the same ghost that is afraid of heights.

My is doing the same thing did you ever find a solution to the problem?

I have a 2007 sport trac v8 the fan blower doesn't work on 1 very slow on 2 strong on 3 & 4 trying to fix it.

I have a 2008 Explorer XLT that I bought new from the dealer. The AC has cut out and back in on hills since the day we got it. I'm convinced it is set up that way when programmed to relieve the V6 from excess load while going up hills. We live in a very rural area with many hills and as I said, it does it like clockwork every time we go up a hill.
Any CAN software programmers out there that can confirm that?

Subscribing...My 08 ST LTD V8 is doing the same thing. Works fine except when going up a fairly steep hill or under moderate to hard excelleration.

Your blower issue is vacuum related.

I have the same issue in my 2010 V8, my research points to a check valve that sticks in the passenger side engine compartment near the firewall. Have it replaced or in some cases just cleaned and you shouldn't see your vents shift modes during acceleration.

Is there a picture of this check valve anywhere ?

Same Ghost in my car

I have the same problem with my 08 explorer-it only occurs when I go uphill and resolves when the car is level again. I think we have the same ghost that is afraid of heights.

Could you fix this issue???

Bringing up this.old thread. Our 2010 V6 XLT 2WD starting doing this. The vacuum check valve was stuck open or shut, not sure. Blew some air in one end, re-installed it and the AC now stays on going up steep hills here in Denver. Thanks for the info on this forum!
