I am getting a loud cracking sound from my rear speaker ('00 Limited) and can't figure our how to get the plastic grille out to check it out. Could be debris or a loose connection. Anybody got any ideas?

Could be a lose connection or maybe it could be blown

Are you talking about the plastic subwoofer grill?

That's just a snap-on snap-of deal. I'd suggest a stiff piece of plastic with sharpened head. (not sharp sharp, but just not blunt). You could try using your fingernails to try and pull it off. Or if you're gentle, use a screw driver, but be careful not to scratch the plastic around it, or poke into the speaker.

you have to take the door pannel off . it much easier to see what going on then its like 2 screws and snaps off
