I keep thinking that I've read how to do this somewhere in this forum but I can't find it again.
I've got a 2004 Explorer Limited w/ Mach 6CD head unit and rear DVD player. Everything works fine. The AUX input is a pair of RCA plugs overhead in the DVD player housing. Using it is annoying because of the RCA-to-3.5mm adapter and wires that end up flopping around my head and right shoulder.
Has anyone tapped into the wires running into the head unit from the DVD player in order to add an AUX input jack on the dash?
If so, can you tell me which connector and which wires are from the overhead AUX unit?
