I had to pick up some large lumber from Home Depot the other day, and it was a bit too big for the X, so I rented their truck to get it home. They gave me the keys to this orange GM thing out in the lot. I started it up, and noticed an extra gauge in the bottom left corner of the cluster. To my surprise, this truck had a factory tranny temp gauge!! I know it can be added to my truck, but imagine if it came with stuff like this!

Otherwise, it was even more of a P.O.S than I expected. I know it's a rental, but at 36k, a truck shouldn't feel like it has no shocks, and otherwise drive like it's 40 years old with 200k. I've seen U-haul trucks better than this.

gotta also think this is a rental that is abused at the contractor level/grade..... home depot should be more up to date on mainteneace, but isnt due to the fleeting of their vehicles.... u-huals sole business is the fleet

Yeah, I know. I used to work at that store BTW. The truck also had new tires on it, so you know it sees some hard use.

Newer F350's have built in tranny temp gauges.

My dad had a 2500 from work and it had it too. Along with a message center that flashed every fluid was low :D
