Adding Leather Seating

Has anyone ever un-upholstered their seats in the X and put new, different seat covers on? I may get some leather covers from another X and replace my ugly cloth ones. Has anyone done this? Is there anything I should do before trying something like this? Thanks for any input.

I havent done it with an X seat, but all seats are pretty much the same. remove the cover, and replace it with a Katskinz

You could go through all that trouble, or you could just get a set from another Explorer w/ leather and bolt those in.

Thats a good theory BMXKing but I have the somewhat rare interior cover of Willow Green...this color is hard to come by. The leather "skins" are from an explorer. Thanks guys.....keep em coming.

If the covers are about the same pattern/style then it shouldn't be a problem. I swapped mine to Katzkins. http://ImageEvent.com/eelpusdet/katzkinleatherinstall
