- 99 Eddie Bauer AWD
I have a 99 Eddie Bauer Explorer, 5.0, AWD w/ 185,000 miles.
I went for an oil change last month and they said it needs new shocks. That combined with some other minor issues: driver seat belt latch, rear wiper motor, passenger window switch and a worn out driver seat adds up to a pretty good chunk of change even if I do much of the work myself.
I've always changed the oil every 3K and transmission every 40K among other maintenance.
It seems like a lot of little things failing at once. My question is how long should/could this truck run and is it worth putting $1500 in to a truck worth about $5000.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
