aftermarket intake from Explorer into Mounty

Might be around here somewhere but cant find exactly what im looking for. I see the 2006-2010 explorer 4.6 has a intake system but when I go to pull up a 4.6 mountaineer it only gives the stock air filter but in K&N. Is there something in the mountaineer that would not allow the Explorer aftermarket system to work on Mountaineers?

No. The K&N CAI for 2006-2010 V8 Explorer will fit Explorer, Mountaineer, & Sport Trac. They’re identical under the hood.

thanks, looked side by side at my buddys 08 EB 4.6 and seen no difference and was confused why K&N website and a few others were only listing the system for the explorers and giving the filter only for the Mountainteers. Well the info was very much appreciated, thank you.

Unless.....
The Mountie hood makes less clearance which I would doubt.
They were just too lazy to list Mounties.
