Aftermarket Keyless Entry and autostart

I've recently purchased a 98 Explorer sport with the sohc. It came with an after market keyless remote system. The remote lights up when I press all the functions but it seems the signal isn't getting across. I've checked the antenna and its wired up.

Any ideas where to start looking? I can't even seem to figure out where the module is even located.

The remotes for those systems can be reprogrammed, you need to know what kind of system you have, and there is usually a little black button hidden somewhere like in with the fuse panel or tied up under the dash.. if the antenna came unplugged from the module it wont work also
