Hello, i have a 96 sport. I have been thinking about buying a keyless entry for the car. How hard is it to install and what is a good one?

thanks

if you are any good at wiring, they are not too hard to install. I did my own alarm on an 00 Sport, and it took a couple hours, but just for the keyless entry, I can't see it being too difficult. I can't remember the brand of the one I got, but I got it at Circuit City, and its a brand they were no longer selling, so I only paid like 25 bucks for the alarm and siren, keyless entry and all that jazz.

moving to modifieds.. This forum is dedicated for questions regarding a stock vehicle not regarding modifications.

I installed one on my 97 Explorer and my 06 F250. The instructions are very clear and they give you a web link to find the wiring diagram of your particular vehicle.

It shows what color wire you need to look for and where it is located.

Did take me several hours as I put wire loom over all the wires, and routed them very neatly. Soldered most except the wire taps.

Code alarm was the brand in I used on the F250, Bulldog on the Explorer.

Code Alarm is the same one I installed as well. The online diagram was very helpful as well.
