Looking around, I'm not really seeing any radiators that are made for the explorer 4.0 v6.

I was kind of hoping to find something a little better than the stock radiator, like a full aluminum tank... but I can't seem to find anything on ebay, amazon, LMC...

Can someone point me in the right direction, or am I looking for something that doesn't exist?

Doesn't exist. Lots of plastic knock offs but none with metal tanks. I went with a spectra off amazon myself. The rad quality itself was good, but the fittings for the transmission cooler were garbage. i ended up stealing the keepers and O-rings out of my old rad and they got rid of the transmission fluid leak.

All aluminum radiators are typically designed for muscle, classic or performance applications. The Ford Explorer does not fit into these categories.

awesome. glad to know it's not my searching skills that need work.

I know they are usually for performance cars, but I want the longevity of not having a plastic tank.
