Aftermarket Transmission Gauge

I would like to add a transmission temperature gauge to my a-pillar with one of those injection molded beauty pieces.

Where is the easier place to add the temperature sending device or thermocouple on the transmission.

97 Sport SOHC with 5 speed automatic.

Easy or Hard

asy route is to attach it to the rubber cooler hoses (with rubber tape) or inserted into the coller fins. The hard way is the best--add a fitting to the trans fluid pan to attach the sender (transducer). A word of advice, stick with the Electronic sensors--the mechanical tube-type sensors aren't very reliable.
