The air bag light came on yesterday in my 98 XLT. When I first turn the key on the light comes on as normal and goes off as normal. Then it flashes 4 times, pauses, then flashes 2 times. I take it this is a 42 code. It then goes through this sequence 3 times and then the light comes on permanently. Am I correct in thinking this is a 42 code? If so, what does it mean and how do I fix it? Thanks....ricktoro
