Air Conditioning howling noise

Hi guys!

I have a friend with a 2002.5 Ford Explorer (2wd, 4 door XLS) and he is hearing a strange noise comming from the air vents (with the A/C turned on). It happens during acceleration and it's very unpredictable. It sounds like a high pitch howling noise.

He had taken it to the Dealer several times and the most complicated test performed by them was to sit inside with the A/C on and wait a few minutes. They didn't drive the X out of the parking lot.

He's very upset with the Dealer Service and they can't solve the problem.

Does anyone has an idea what could be this noise?

It sounds like the a/c compressor may be venting. On the back of the compressor is a check valve, it releases the refrigerant so you may see some residue (bright green) on some of the hoses.
I believe a little bit is okay.

I have heard it a couple times on mine after I drive on long trips, especially if it is hot outside and I ran the engine a little hard.
