1) Is to much outside temp. air or cold air bad for your engine?

2) Because i thought i could maybe relocate the air pipe from under the air box out thourgh the fender well to allow more cooler air in  :thumbdwn: !

3) Any Input would be gr8t...ty

Colder air is denser which make the air/fuel ratio better, which give a better burn, which give more power. The more air the better.

Yes you could do the fenderwell intake, but from my knowledge you'd have to do some customizing because I don't think they make one for explorers.

BTW, welcome to the board

Yes my point exactly...am going to check into the specifics and details over the wks to come ne futher knowledge from ne will help in my quest for a better intake...

maybe the best solution is a havin a converted fender snorkel, just no upright tube......yada yada

What about Emissions (22s) Relocate or do away w/ all together?

They don't do any harm unless you have a high horsepower engine. It wouldn't do any good to do this. Plus you won't pass emissions

I live in IN, No 1 has ever Inspected my truck and i dont compete....

So relocate on the same side as the filer and so on...
