Check home depot for all of their air ducting supplies. I can't tell you what to buy, I just wandered around and built it in my head. Dont forget to get the clamps with your conical filter and a sheet of gasket material from the auto parts store too.

I kept it for a couple months and decided the K&N FIPK looked better.

You might as well just get the KKM. In the end it won't cost much more than the home depot route given the fact that a good conical filter is around 50 on it's own.

Once again head out to the Home Depot and just wander around the air/dryer ducting section. There is a piece that is close to identical to the adapter provided with my K&N. Of coures it was plasic and the K&N metal. Any way I have no clue what it was actually for, just the section I found it in. Good Luck

a homemade air intake is do-able there is a full tutorial thing with pictures on www.therangerstation.com
I too was going to make my own, but then i just went with the KKM, good luck on ure mod!

for the adapter i went down to home depot and bought a 3 piece shower drain with a 3 inch opening and cut the inside lip off and drilled 4 holes for where the MAS hooked up. Then I took out the old box and that was pretty much it.

where is the full review on how to do the air intake at rangerstation.com i cant find it :exporange :exporange :exporange
