Air suspension question.

I have a 1998 EB AWD with factory air asst. WHY Does the compressor come on AFTER I shut off the ignition, as im climbing out? I know my posterior is HUGE, but thats weird?:wtf:

okey dokey!

I've renamed your thread, and moved it into the shocks, suspensions, and lift kits section. The suspension system is leveling, so it needs air from the compressor.

The same thing happens with the Crown Vic, G'Marquis, Towncars of the day on airbags as well. Later the Expedition/Navigator also did this. It all happens within a time period. If you sat in there key off for an hour then got out it would be asleep and would not change when you got out.

thank you, i guess that means its "normal" but if im sitting there for an hour, there better be beer involved! LOL sorry, had to.
