I have looked and searched and cannot find the location of the airbag fuse on my 2001 X Sport. It's not labeled in the dash fuse panel nor the fuse block under the hood. Can someone point me in the right direction with a numbered location in the panel or box?

Restraints control module

According to my 2000 wiring diagram there is no separate fuse for the air bag. Both front air bags (sensors, sliding contacts and bags) are powered by the Restraints Control Module (RCM). The fuse for the RCM is fuse 2 (7.5 amp) in the central junction box.

That location is not used in either fuse panel locations on my truck. Looks like the 2001 Sport is different. Maybe I should post this in the Sport Trac forum?

No, this is the right one. Give it time before posting another section...

Central Junction Box fuses #6 and #11 (7.5A) both feed the Restraints Control Module.
