Hi All-

Wanted to post a follow up to a previous entry I did on shackle replacement and leveling up the front end here: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/index.php?threads/rusty-shackleford.462753/

After driving 1,000 miles I finally took it to Ford dealer to have alignment checked - figured I'd messed around with enough stuff maybe have a Ford tech take a look. Told him I'd replaced shocks and shackles and messed with front end and had read alignment should be checked.

That seemed to register with him and 10 minutes later he said it was perfect, gave me the print out, and commented on how nice the older rig was. I told him I wanted to get another 100K out of it and he said the motor, 4lSOHC, even with the timing chains and plastic guides would run forever if oil changes kept up on.

I told him I drive like an old lady which is not exactly true. So not much more than an 1" lift all around and so far so good. Sits close to 34-34 1/4" at all 4 corners measuring from floor thru hub to bottom of Eddie Bauer type fender. Of course they moved my seat around, just for the drive into the garage? lol NO CHARGE NO CHARGE from Ford.
