A few times we have seen all power window switches stop working on our 1995 XLT. No problems with the other things on that fuse. Today it happened and the only thing I did prior to that which was unusual for me was I had the ignition switch on the ACC setting for maybe 20 minutes prior to noticing this. I told my wife and she said it happened to her the same way - ignition on ACC with engine off running the radio. The other time the window switches stopped working for me, I don't remember leaving the key on that setting. Today I pulled the battery cable for 15 minutes and it fixed the windows.

I did some searching on this forum and see that there are issues with the master switch power wire breaking in the bundle that goes from chassis to driver door. In our case the problem has happened three times, months apart. So an intermittent problem. But today I also saw the 4WD indicator go on and the switch was not in 4WD. It went off pretty quickly. That is new. I will inspect the wires going to the driver door when it stops raining. If I don't spot a bad wire, where do I find the Master Switch for the windows. Where is the GEM module?

the master switch iirc is the one on the driver door? the wiring comes through this rubber boot from the footwell area to the door iirc unless my terms are off. the gem is behind the radio
